The Ellis Square Project includes the redevelopment of one of the six original squares laid out by James Oglethorpe. The project will provide a new interactive community square and underground parking. A public/private venture, these improvements will occur simultaneously....

Wow! Ellis square is really on the move now! At the left is a picture I took from about four weeks ago of the actual parking decks which will be underneath a green and leafy Ellis Square. The city had maintained a web site until recently which is down now but today Tara Polli , who works for the City of Savannah Liaison office, sent me the images below of what the square will look like after completion of the project. The renderings were drawn by the City’s designers, EDAW (from Atlanta) and their local design team from Lominack Kolman Smith.
